Professor Dr. Nor Aziah Abd. Manaf is a professor in Taxation at the Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy. She previously served as the Dean of the school. Throughout her career, Professor Dr. Nor Aziah has held several key management positions, including Director of the Research Management Centre, Director of the Institute of Quality Management, and Director of the Corporate Planning Division. In these roles, she managed the university's research strategic planning and KPIs, as well as overseeing the UUM Centres of Excellence.
Professor Dr. Nor Aziah holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons.) from UUM, an MBA in Accounting from Sheffield, UK, and completed her PhD in Taxation at Nottingham University Business School, UK, in 2004.
At the national level, she is a former council member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and served on the MIA Board of Education. Currently, she is a panel auditor for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). She is also a master trainer for the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKePT) in Industrial Training (LI) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL).
Professor Dr. Nor Aziah's research interests focus on fiscal tax policy in the oil and gas sector, tax compliance, land tax, and the self-assessment system. Her work has been published in prestigious journals, including Energy Policy (Q1) and the International Journal of Energy Sector Management (Q2), among others.
