OVERVIEW
Dr. Asmat Nizam Abdul Talib specializes in international business and marketing at the School of International Studies, UUM. He is the Principal Investigator for seven FRGS research grants and a member of several research teams. His research has been featured in several leading journals including the International Business Review, Strategic Marketing Journal, Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, and Journal of Islamic Marketing. His primary research interests lie in international and strategic marketing, with a particular focus on export market intelligence and its impact on firms' export decision-making. Asmat has also served as a consultant for MATRADE, where he helped develop a comprehensive Digital Learning module on exporting for Malaysian companies. He has served as a Professor of International Business at KIMEP University in Kazakhstan and Tashkent State University in Uzbekistan. Additionally, he was awarded the Erasmus+ KA171 exchange program at Middle East Technical University in Turkey. He has been a research fellow at the Honda Foundation in Japan and a Faculty Associate at Aston Business School in the UK, where he taught international marketing and business courses.
