OVERVIEW
I began my academic journey at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Public Administration. I subsequently pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Political Science at Kaduna State University, further strengthening my academic foundation in public administration, governance, and political studies. Alongside my academic development, I obtained a Professional Diploma in Education, which provided me with professional training in teaching and educational practice. My professional career has largely combined public-sector administration, teaching, and academic research. In 2017, I joined the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS), Nigeria, as an Administrative Officer, where I gained practical experience in public administration and institutional management. In 2022, I expanded my academic experience by joining the Ahmadu Bello University Distance Learning Centre as a facilitator, providing me with further experience in university-level teaching and student engagement. Driven by my growing research interest in public-sector governance and digital transformation, I pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Management at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), which I successfully completed in 2026. My doctoral research focused on e-government utilisation and effective public service delivery, particularly examining the factors influencing the utilisation of electronic government systems among public servants and the role of training programmes in strengthening their effectiveness. My research interests have subsequently developed around digital governance, e-government, public-sector digital transformation, public service delivery, technology adoption, governance, and institutional development. I have published extensively in these and related areas, including articles in Scopus-indexed and international journals, and have also contributed book chapters, conference papers, and other scholarly publications. My current research increasingly explores how emerging digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, can strengthen governance, institutional capacity, and public service delivery. My academic and professional experience therefore brings together public-sector administrative practice, university teaching, and scholarly research. Through these experiences, I continue to develop my expertise in Public Management, with particular emphasis on Digital Governance, E-Government, Digital Transformation, and Public Service Delivery.
