Dr Wei Haitian earned his PhD in Finance and Banking from Universiti Utara Malaysia, completing the programme on time (Graduation On Time, GOT). Prior to joining academia, he worked as an analyst at asset management companies, where he specialised in industry analysis, financial analysis, and valuation of target companies. His research specializes in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues, Corporate Governance, Corporate Stock Performance and Sustainability. Dr Wei has published in several SSCI journals, including Finance Research Letters (Q1), Sustainable Development (Q1), Managerial and Decision Economics (Q2), and Australian Economic Papers (Q2). He has also published in other Scopus-indexed journals, such as the Journal of Money Laundering Control and Pacific Accounting Review. He is a Life Associate Member of the Malaysian Finance Association (MFA).
