Dr. Amalina binti Mohd Roze is a senior lecturer and occupational safety and health (OSH) professional specializing in occupational health (OH) management, industrial hygiene, and risk assessment. She holds a Ph.D. in Health Sciences from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), with research focusing on the challenges in implementing occupational health services in Malaysia. She also obtained a Master of Engineering in Safety, Health and Environment from the University of Malaya and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from IIUM. Dr. Amalina’s research interests focus on occupational health services, occupational psychosocial factors, and industrial hygiene, with an emphasis on monitoring and improving workers’ well-being in the workplace. She has served as a research assistant in a collaborative project between the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) and IIUM under the Research Development Project of the 11th Malaysia Plan, through which she gained extensive research experience. She teaches and supervises in areas related to occupational health management, OSH legislation, industrial hygiene, environmental monitoring, research methodology (particularly qualitative and mixed methods), and risk assessment. Dr. Amalina has published in peer-reviewed journals on occupational health services, occupational diseases, and occupational health risk assessment.
