Dr. Jawwad Ali is a dedicated academic with a PhD in Law from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), specializing in Islamic jurisprudence, Waqf law, and Islamic finance. He has a strong traditional foundation in Fiqh and Fatwa from Darul Uloom Deoband and further advanced his expertise through postgraduate studies at IIUM. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at University Utara Malaysia (UUM), where he also teaches various subjects related to law and Islamic studies. He has worked with several prestigious institutions as a researcher, contributing to numerous funded projects under prominent scholars in the field. His research interests span across Islamic banking and finance, Islamic law, Waqf, Zakat, Maqasid al-Shariah, Sustainable Development, and contemporary Ijtihad. He has published several academic papers and book chapters in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research in various international conferences held in countries such as United States of America, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Pakistan, and India.
