Assoc. Professor Dr. Syahida Abdullah is an Assoc. Professor of Technology Entrepreneurship, Management and Islamic Finance at the Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Campus (OYAGSB, UUM KL). She has worked at local and international universities including Jeddah University, Effat University, Saudi Arabia, INCEIF, Multimedia University, Universiti Kuala Lumpur and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, . She has also worked as a researcher at the International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA), a subsidiary of Bank Negara Malaysia. She received her M.Sc. in Science & Technology Management and PhD in Technology Entrepreneurship from Universiti Malaya. Her BA was from California State University Sacramento, USA. She also earned a Chartered Islamic Finance Professional from INCEIF, and a professional certificate in Islamic law from Universiti Malaya. Her research is in technology entrepreneurship & sustainability, digital business & artificial intelligence, next-gen innovation & strategic management, Islamic finance & human talent, ethical leadership & social responsibility. Her research has been published in WoS and Scopus indexed journals. She is an Associate Editor for Journal of Sustainability Science and Management. Syahida has served as the Director of Research and Innovation as well as the Director of the Postgraduate Studies at UMT, Effat University, and UniKL. In addition to her leadership and administration experiences, she has experience planning international and regional workshops. Syahida also has served as an advisor for the Lembaga Zakat Selangor, and associate consultant at Perkhidmatan Rundingan Industri Malaysia (PRIMA). Syahida has received numerous grants from corporate sectors, national funders and government.
