As a senior lecturer at Universiti Utara Malaysia, I teach and research topics related to building conservation, urban planning, and architectural design. I have a PhD in building conservation from Universiti Sains Malaysia, where I also earned my MS and bachelor's degrees in urban and regional planning and architectural and building sciences/technology, respectively.
Before joining UUM, I worked as a science and technology educator at Penang Science Cluster, where I developed and delivered interactive and engaging programs to inspire students and teachers to learn and innovate in STEM fields. I also have experience as a programme officer for gender inclusiveness at Penang Women's Development Corporation, where I implemented projects and activities to promote gender equality and participatory budgeting in the local government and community.
My core competencies include urban planning, land use planning, AutoCAD, building conservation, and STEM education. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to create sustainable and inclusive solutions for the built and natural environment. My goal is to contribute to the advancement of science and technology in Malaysia and beyond, and to inspire the next generation of learners and innovators.
