OVERVIEW
Dr. Ahmad Hakimi Tajuddin is a senior lecturer at the School of Economics, Finance, and Banking at Universiti Utara Malaysia. His academic journey includes six years as a senior lecturer at Taylor University, where he demonstrated expertise in teaching various finance and banking modules, specializing in courses such as Bank Management, Islamic Banking and Finance, Personal Finance, Introduction to Finance, Financial Market, Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance, and Wealth Management. He has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning from Taylor's University, emphasizing further his commitment to excellence in education. In addition, he has successfully supervised two PhD. and seven Master's by research students. Furthermore, he has examined six theses as both an internal and external examiner. Before entering academia, he gained valuable industry experience, serving for seven years as a credit officer and treasury dealer in two financial institutions in Malaysia. This hands-on experience in the financial sector enhances his ability to bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications in his teaching. His research areas encompass diverse topics, including initial public offerings, sukuk, stock markets, fintech, and ESG. His scholarly works have been published in reputable refereed journals, such as the International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance, International Journal of Economic & Management, Journal of Economic Cooperation and Development, Afro-Asian Journal of Finance and Accounting, Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research, Accounting Research Journal, International Journal of Social Economics, South Asian Journal of Business Studies, Journal of Public Affairs, Asian Review of Accounting, Arab Gulf Journal of Scientific Research, Applied Finance Letters, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Economies, and Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia.
