Dr. Nurul Syazwani Ahmad Sabri is a researcher and educator specializing in Occupational Health within the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). She is professionally trained in ergonomics and a Certified Basic Occupational First Aider (NIOSH), with academic expertise encompassing ergonomics, biological hazards, chemical management, and bio-human factors that influence workers’ health and safety.
Her strong laboratory-based research background, particularly in microbial genomics and genome analysis of multidrug-resistant bacteria, provides a solid foundation in biological hazard identification, chemical safety management, risk assessment, and infection control. This interdisciplinary experience allows her to examine occupational health issues holistically, especially the combined effects of biological and chemical exposures, workload, and ergonomic risks on fatigue, stress, and indirect psychological outcomes among workers.
Her research interests focus on occupational fatigue, ergonomic risk factors, psychosocial stressors, biological hazards, and human factors, with an emphasis on qualitative and quantitative research approaches to assess health outcomes in occupational settings such as healthcare, agriculture, and industry.
