Dr. Kafi has been an International Senior Lecturer and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML), College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia since April 2022. He received his Ph.D. from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), specializing in Transportation Planning. His research pursuits encompass a wide array of topics, including public transport and strategic planning, transport and logistics management, transport and logistics efficiency, supply chain management, travel behavior and demand management, transit safety and design, as well as travel demand modeling. He possesses profound expertise in data analysis and visualization, which extends to transport modeling, statistics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) & Remote Sensing (in the context of road network and land use planning), project design and development, as well as the implementation of research tools. Previously, Dr. Kafi was actively engaged with two prominent institutions: Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Space (UTM-Space), Malaysia, and Daffodil International University, Bangladesh. His extensive involvement in research and industry experience spans governmental, national, and international arenas, including affiliations with organizations such as the European Commission (Erasmus+), Malaysian Government Projects (FRGS), ADB, JICA, DFID, WB/IFC, BEPZA, DoE, CARE, and MPC Malaysia, among others. Dr. Kafi's impactful research has led to the publication of numerous journal papers in prestigious academic journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings, reflecting his dedication to advancing the field of transportation and logistics
