Dr. Khairiah Binti Mohd Yassin is a senior lecturer at the School of Languages, Civilisation and Philosophy (SLCP), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She obtained a Bachelor of Usuluddin (Aqidah and Islamic Thought) with First-Class Honours from the University of Malaya (UM) in 2006. She then pursued her PhD studies through a fast-track program due to her outstanding achievements at the bachelor’s level. For her PhD, she focused on a comparative study of prominent thinkers, involving Islamic and Western scholars, within the context of culture and knowledge development. She obtained a PhD in Islamic Thought from the University of Malaya (UM) in 2012. Upon completing her PhD from the University of Malaya (UM), she served at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) from 2011 to 2015 before moving to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), where she continues to work to this day. Her area of specialization is Islamic Thought with sub-specialization on prominent scholars' thought, comparative, philosophical, and civilizational thought. Her research area is more focused on the fields of social sciences and humanities, particularly in the areas of thought, philosophy, and civilization, including the philosophy of management.
