Dr. Rosfaraliza Azura Ramli is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Government (SOG), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Development Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia. She later pursued her Master of Public Management and completed her Ph.D. in Development Planning and Management at Universiti Sains Malaysia.
Her doctoral thesis, entitled “Keupayaan Komuniti Orang Asli dalam Program Pembangunan Sosioekonomi: Kajian Kes di Tiga Rancangan Pengumpulan Semula (RPS) di Negeri Perak,” examined the capability of the Orang Asli community to participate in socio-economic development programmes implemented by the government. The research explored community participation, capacity building, and the effectiveness of development initiatives in improving the socio-economic conditions of Indigenous communities.
Dr. Rosfaraliza’s research focuses on community-based entrepreneurship, socioeconomic empowerment, and grassroots economic development, particularly among rural and Indigenous communities in Malaysia. Her research examines how community participation, local resources, and entrepreneurial initiatives can contribute to sustainable livelihood development and poverty reduction.
In addition to academic research, she is actively involved in community engagement and development initiatives that aim to empower local communities through entrepreneurship, innovation, and capacity-building programmes. These initiatives integrate academic research with practical community development approaches to support sustainable socioeconomic transformation at the grassroots level.
She also holds a Train-the-Trainer certification from the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp), enabling her to conduct professional training and capacity development programmes related to community entrepreneurship and socioeconomic development.
