My enthusiasm has always been focused on the world of language. Since my undergraduate studies, I have pursued linguistics, and I now serve as a lecturer and researcher specializing in dialectology, historical linguistics, and sociolinguistics. I chose this field out of a deep interest in the connections between language or dialect, history, and society. My primary aspiration is to reconstruct the history of the Malay language and dialects of the Peninsula, thereby enabling a deeper understanding of various other historical dimensions.
