OVERVIEW
Nor Syahidah Ishak is a Senior Lecturer at the Islamic Business School, Universiti Utara Malaysia, where she serves as the Programme Chair for the Bachelor of Islamic Finance and Banking. Her academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Sussex (2020), an MBA from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (2012), and a Bachelor of Islamic Finance and Banking with honours from Universiti Utara Malaysia (2010). Complementing her academic background, she is a Certified Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) and holds a Certified Qualification in Islamic Finance (Wealth Management) from IBFIM, as well as an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) in the United Kingdom. In addition to her teaching and leadership roles within the Department of Islamic Finance and Banking, she is a Research Fellow at the Institut Penyelidikan dan Inovasi Zakat (IPIZ) UUM, focusing her research efforts on Islamic Social Finance, Takaful, Microtakaful, Waqf, Zakat, Islamic Banking and Islamic Finance.
