I'm Amar Razli, currently serving as the Postgraduate Program Chair for Risk Management and Insurance at UUM. My academic journey took me from studying Actuarial Science at Penn State to earning a doctorate in Insurance and Disaster Risk Reduction from King's College London. I also hold a Master's in Risk, Crisis, and Resilience Management from the University of Portsmouth, achievements made possible through government scholarships.
My research is centered on insurance, disaster risk reduction, and business continuity management. I'm also exploring new challenges at the intersection of climate change and food security. Right now, I'm working on two exciting projects: One is about creating insurance for natural disasters, and the other is about finding ways to stop poverty.
When I'm not immersed in academic or professional pursuits, I enjoy reading non-fiction. I have a particular fondness for history and geography, which satisfy my curiosity about the world and its past.
My last words: I believe that learning and research can help make the world a better place. I'm always trying to learn more and help others through my work.
