Noraziah Che Arshad is a Senior Lecturer at the Islamic Business School, UUM. She holds a Bachelor of Economics from Universiti Utara Malaysia, a Master of Economics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and PhD from the University of Malaya.
Noraziah has extensive academic experience in teaching and supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the fields of Islamic economics, finance, and banking. She is actively involved in curriculum design, programme development, and quality assurance at the institutional and national levels.
Her research interests are centered on Islamic finance, with particular emphasis on risk management, wealth management, and financial planning. Her broader scholarly interests include the Islamic capital market, Islamic banking, and Islamic economics. She has contributed to peer-reviewed journals and academic publications and continues to engage in research collaborations at both national and international levels.
In terms of professional qualifications, Noraziah is a certified the Islamic Financial Planner (IFP), awarded by the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) in 2011. She also holds the Certified Qualification in Islamic Finance (CQIF) with a specialization in Wealth Management, jointly awarded by IBFIM and the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) in 2021. She further broadened her skill set in 2023 by earning the Halal Executive certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM).
At the national level, Noraziah serves as a panel auditor for the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), contributing to the enhancement of academic quality and standards in higher education. She is also the Executive Editor of the International Journal of Islamic Business (IJIB) and is actively involved in supervising master’s and doctoral research students, reflecting her strong commitment to postgraduate education, research excellence, and academic leadership.
