OVERVIEW
Ts. Dr. Mohd Kamarul Irwan Abdul Rahim is a Dean and Associate Professor at the School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Science Remote Sensing and a Master's degree in Management (Technology) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia, in 2005 and 2007, respectively. Then, he obtained his PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Ghent University, Belgium in 2015. His professional expertise covers vendor-managed inventory (VMI), supply chain optimization, logistics and transportation, operations management, inventory routing problem (IRP), vehicle routing, mathematical modelling and programming, as well as supply chain management. On these topics, he has published more than 100 papers, including 50 papers in international peer-reviewed journals, and made oral and poster presentations in international and national conference proceedings. Ts. Dr. Mohd Kamarul Irwan Abdul Rahim is also a certified Professional Technologist (Transportation & Logistics Technology) by the Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT) and Logistician (Pakar Logistik) by The Society of Logisticians Malaysia (LogM). He also attended several professional workshops and courses, for instances, Doctoral Training Programme (DTP) at Ghent University, Workshop on ‘Managing uncertainty in energy infrastructure investments’ at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, Workshop on ‘Constraint programming’ at Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Belgium, Course on ‘Multi-criteria decision analysis and multi-objective optimization’ in Brussels and Mons, Belgium, Academic Leadership for Young Scholars (ALeYS) Programme, Higher Education Teaching and Learning Certification Programme and Sustainable Development Goals Leadership: University for Society (SDGU4S), Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT).
