I am a lecturer at the English Langauge Teaching Unit, School of Education, UUM. I teach English Language Teaching (ELT) subjects and specialise in Literary Studies, specifically Children's Literature. For ELT subjects, my focuses are on young learners, fundamentals of ELT pedagogy, Literature teaching methodology, and 21st Century learning. I teach and supervise both the undergraduate and postgraduate students. Over the years, I am also involved in many teacher training programmes such as the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), B. Ed. TESL; Diploma Perguruan Lepasan Ijazah (DPLI); B. Ed TEYL (Teaching English for Young Learners); PKPG (Program Khas Pensiswazahan Guru); and PPG (Program Pensiswazahan Guru). I was also involved in teaching Bachelor of Philosophy, Law and Business (BPLB), UUM for many years. I am also involved in designing curriculum and syllabus for programmes in SOE and other programmes in UUM. I was once a B. Ed TEYL Programme Coordinator. Apart from that, I was also appointed as the Panel of Experts in Children's Book Publication by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. I am a member of MBBY (Malaysia Board Books for Young People) since 2004. I am a certified CEFR master trainer by Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia. I am actively involved in innovations in teaching and learning and have won several gold awards at local and international competitions.
