Dr. Afiruddin Tapa is an experienced finance educator with over two decades of expertise in academic teaching and also experienced in strategist and business development. Since 2004, he has served as a Finance Lecturer at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), specializing in Investment, Corporate Finance, Financial Modelling, and Financial Management. Additionally, as the Director of Strategic and Business Development at UUM, he contributed to institutional growth and fund generation. Dr. Afiruddin holds a PhD in Finance from UUM, and his research spans areas such as capital market, financial resilience, and corporate governance, with significant contributions to portfolio optimization in the Malaysian market. With a good publication record, Dr. Afiruddin’s work has been widely cited in leading journals, focusing on stock market dynamics and financial health. His expertise has influenced both academic and industry practices, including the analysis of IPO performance, corporate governance, and financial distress prediction. Dr. Afiruddin has also supervised numerous graduate students and served as an examiner for master’s and PhD candidates.
