Currently, she is an associate professor at the School of Creative Industry Management & Performing Arts and serves as the Manager, Flexible Education and Academic Excellence at Centre for Academic Excellence & Policy Planning (CAEP), Universiti Utara Malaysia. She is the President of myHCI-UX, the KL ACM SIGCHI Chapter, which gathers academia and industry players for human-computer interaction (HCI) and user experience (UX) fields in the region. Her expertise in VR-UX has been sought after by the renowned Virtual Reality journal published by Springer-Nature (impact factor=3.634 as at 2019) where she is actively contributing as reviewer. In the pursuit to contributing to the body of knowledge, she has published over 100 articles in the renowned journals and proceedings mostly Scopus-indexed. She also contributed to numerous virtual conferences such as International Conference on Internet Governane (ICIG), Creative Industry International Conference (CIIC) and National Symposium on Human Computer Interaction (FUSION) as technical team, which is becoming salient in the era of pandemic. To foster commercialization of research projects, she contributed to numerous intellectual properties in games as well as mobile AR and VR applications. She has won gold medals for innovative products in numerous exhibitions at national and international level and successfully led two research projects funded by national grants for the past five years. She actively provides mentoring to industry players through MYHackathon programmes organized by Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI). Her research interests include UX in virtual reality design, development and evaluation; game design; and virtual heritage. On her pastime, she would love to do cooking and gardening - after stamp collection and travelling - where she thinks the passion may change over time as she grows 'wiser'. She is looking forward to collaborating with individuals who share similar research interests.
