OVERVIEW

I am a Professor at the School of Economics, Finance and Banking, Universiti Utara Malaysia. In addition to teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, publishing many articles, speaking at seminars and conferences, and editing academic journals, I am the principal investigator for many research projects. My areas of expertise include Input-output and Social Accounting Matrix Economics, Sectoral analysis, Energy, Labor, public expenditure, and Household Income Distribution and Poverty. Since the Journal of Economics and Sustainability was founded in 2019, I have held the position of Managing Editor and am currently the Editor in Chief. I hold a PhD from Universiti Putra Malaysia, an Honours Degree in Economics from Universiti Malaya, and a Master of Science in Business Economics from the University of Portsmouth, England. From November 2015 to October 2016, I spent a year as a visiting scholar at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
