Professor Dr. Rosna Awang-Hashim is a distinguished educator renowned for her expertise in Educational Psychology and her leadership in academia. As a senior professor at the School of Education, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), she has played a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, she has held esteemed positions including Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International), Dean of School of Education, and Director of the University Teaching-Learning Centre (UTLC), and Founding Director of the Institute of Child & Adolescent Educational Advancement at UUM. Her scholarly pursuits have centred on elucidating the intricacies of student engagement, adolescent motivation, and college student development. Rosna's scholarly contributions extend beyond the confines of academia, as evidenced by her extensive publication record exploring diverse facets of human motivation, college student development, and effective teaching practices in higher education. Notably, her latest research endeavours focus on pioneering initiatives such as the construction of a School Disengagement Warning Index and the development of a comprehensive higher education ecosystem framework aimed at fostering greater social civic involvement among students. In addition to her academic pursuits, Rosna actively engages in various leadership roles within the academic community. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Governance at Al Bukhary International University (AIU) and a fellow at the esteemed Academy of Professors Malaysia (APM).
