I am a practicing professional in Malaysian music industry. I have been a pop singer for 19 years and joined Universiti Utara Malaysia as a Tutor since 2014. I have been granted a scholarship by the Malaysian Government and my employer, Universiti Utara Malaysia to pursue postgraduate studies in the UK. As a graduate of MA in Music Industry Studies in 2015 and PhD in Music in 2022 at the University of Liverpool, my research interest spans a variety of fields in creative industries with an emphasis on the interdisciplinary areas of music industry and performing arts, where my core expertise is in the study of creative workers in the music industry, and performing arts in music.
