OVERVIEW
Professor Dr Nor Aziah Abd. Manaf is currently leading the Research and Innovation Management Centre, Universiti Utara Malaysia as the Director. She manages the university's research strategic planning and KPIs as well as the UUM Centres of Excellence. She holds a degree in BAcct (Hons.) (UUM) and MBA (Acctg) (Sheffield, UK). She completed her PhD in Taxation in 2004 at the Nottingham University Business School, UK. Currently, she is also the university internal auditor for quality assurance. At the national level, Nor Aziah is one of the council members of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the MIA Board of Education, a panel auditor for Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and Malaysian Quality Evaluation Systems for Universities (SETARA) and Private Colleges (MyQUEST). Nor Aziah is also one of the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKePT) master trainers in Industrial Training (LI) and Problem-based learning (PBL). With taxation as her area of expertise, her research interests are related to fiscal tax policy in oil and gas sector, tax compliance, land tax and self assessment system. Her articles were published in Energy Policy (Q1), International Journal of Energy Sector Management (Q2) and several other reputable journals.
