Associate Professor Dr. Haslina Halim is currently the Head of Communication Department, School of Multimedia Technology and Communication, Universiti Utara Malaysia. She obtained her Doctoral degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia and her MSc. and BSc. from Southern Illinois University, Illinois, USA. Her areas of expertise in Organizational, Intercultural and Political Communication have enabled her to secure research grants from the Ministry of Education (FRGS) and university grant (LEADs) for her research works in organizational relationship focusing on superior-subordinate relationship, intercultural adjustment and political communication. Beside research, Haslina has also presented her works at various international conferences such as International Communication Conference, World Communication Conference, International Association of Intercultural Studies, Pacific-Asian Communication Conference and International Conference in Communication and Media. Her publications are also related to the two areas of studies. A paper that she co-authored and presented at the ICA Conference 2014 was awarded Best Paper Award at the conference. Dr. Haslina has also served as Academic Coordinators for various subjects for PACE UUM and joint-program with Alpha College. Her research works have been published in both local and international journals.
