Dr. Idya aims to improve her surrounding and helps people make a difference in life. She strives to deliver quality teaching and learning, conduct impactful research and create values in any industry engagement she works in. She is passionate about innovations and entrepreneurial mindset. She was seconded to the leading Malaysian R&D centre, MIMOS Berhad as a UX Researcher and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Lead with the role of UX R&D in project developments. She joined Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDEC) to work in the Digital Government Transformation, Enabling Ecosystem, Talent Development Ecosystem and Growth Ecosystem Development divisions. She is the co-founder of Kuala Lumpur ACM SIGCHI Local Chapter and Local Lead for Kuala Lumpur Interaction Design Foundation (IDF) based in Denmark. She is an active member of UX Malaysia and advisor for several SMEs and Startup companies (e.g. Design2ustudio and Foxymojo). She provides UX trainings, Visual Sketching, Design Sprint and Design Thinking consultation to Individuals, Companies and Government agencies. She curates Sandbox Programs and Bootcamp for Startup Entrepreneurs focusing on UX Guerilla Techniques and Visual Doing.
