Dr Salau Abdulmalik Olarinoye is currently an International Senior Lecturer at Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy, College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia where he teaches accounting courses. He obtained his PhD. in Accounting from Universiti Utara Malaysia, in 2017, MSc International Accounting from Universiti Utara Malaysia, 2013 and bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin Kwara State in 2010. Before joining Universiti Utara Malaysia, he worked as a Lecturer with Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin Kwara State. As an International Senior Lecturer at Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy, College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia, he was a member of the International Committee effectively from 1 January 2020 as well as the course coordinator for Introduction to Financial Reporting and previously he was a member of the school committee on EPAS and Internationalisation Committee of TISSA. He is an Associate Fellow of the Institute of Asian Research Institute for Corporate Governance (ARICG), Universiti Utara Malaysia.
His areas of research interest where he has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed papers published in high ranking journals are corporate governance, financial reporting, auditing and IT governance & IT investments. Currently, he is a leader, co-leader and member of ongoing and completed research projects. As part of his community service, he has facilitated several workshops on research methodology and reviewer for some peer-review journals.
