Jauriyah binti Shamsuddin (PhD) is a senior lecturer at School of Business Management, Universiti Utara Malaysia. Recently, she was appointed as Executive Director for Co-operative and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (CEDI).She is formerly serves as Deputy Director for Training and Consultation Department at CEDI since 2017 till 2019. Her two years of experience as a Marketing Manager at a private company in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, has been a valuable experience. Where she initially trained as a salesperson, before she was appointed sales supervisor, then as Assistant Marketing Manager and eventually as Marketing Manager. Twenty-two years of experience at the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) has provided her with a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience. She has been attached in the Public Relations, Asset Management, Insurance and Inventory, Entrepreneur Development, Land Management and Human Resource Development divisions. She has also been secretary of the Penang State Exco of Rural Development, Consumer Affairs and Entrepreneur Development for 6 years. While working at PDC, she was directly involved in Balance Score Card implementation and Change Management. She was appointed a change agent. She is a holder of the "yellow belt" and "green belt" of Six sigma. Her last position at PDC was as Manager of Entrepreneur Development Division. Her expertise is not only in entrepreneur development, she is also experienced in managing events and exhibitions. She has led the Entrepreneur Development program at Penang state level and led the international "Penang Fair in Medan City" program. She has previously organized international trade exhibitions for Penang entrepreneurs to Medan, Acheh, Bangkok, Songkla, Phuket, Satun and Pattani in South Thailand. Now she actively involved in training and consultation on entrepreneurship for various organisation. Her expertise area in management, SME’s performance and Government business support service.
