OVERVIEW
Nor Iadah Yusop is an Associate Professor at the School of Computing, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She received her MSc in Information Technology from the University of Stirling, and her BSc in Computer Science from the University of Bridgeport, USA. She started to serve UUM in 1990 with her first position as a tutor. She was then appointed as a lecturer in 1991, then a senior lecturer in 2004, and 2020 for the Associate Professor. Within her duration of servicing UUM, she has taught quite several subjects including Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Systems Development, Programming Languages, and Data Structure and Algorithms, as well as Mathematics, both at the Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels. She also supervises MSc and Undergraduate students in undertaking their research and projects mostly related to system development, and ICT-related impact studies. She also supervises many practical students. As for research, her interests is inclined to the soft side of IT, in particular community informatics, including ICT for Development and the Impact of ICT on the community. Her latest work involves applying artificial intelligence techniques in community informatics research. She has received several research grants including the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme, High Impact Group Project (PBIT), and LEADS. She also has served ITU-UUM as a fellow member and was involved in the Asian Development Bank project. She has also led UUM team for a collaborative project with UKM on the Impact of Wireless Technology. She also facilitates the school management in some administrative matters especially those that are related to curriculum development and review, and academic quality compliance.
