OVERVIEW
Nursafwah Tugiman is a Senior Lecturer of Communication at UUM Kuala Lumpur Campus. She is a PhD graduate from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. Specifically, she obtained her PhD degree in a marketing program at the UNSW Business School. Before that, she received her Bachelor degree (Human Development and Management) and Master degree (Corporate Communication) from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia. Her research interests are marketing communication, corporate communication, consumer behaviour e.g., prosocial/pro-environmental behaviour, and social media studies. She's also one of the winners for the 3MT UNSW Business School and represents the business school at the final 3MT in 2019. She has successfully secured a range of competitive grants from university, industry, national, and international sources. These include UUM internal grants, the Case Study Grant Scheme, two FRGS projects totaling MYR 155,880, and the Yayasan Sime Darby Industry Grant worth MYR 144,866, alongside BizLab HDR Small Project Grants in Australia. Collectively, this funding portfolio highlights her ability to attract diverse support for impactful academic and industry-linked research. She has also published in WOS and Scopus-indexed outlets, with articles in Marketing Letters, Leadership and Policy in Schools, SEARCH Journal of Media and Communication Research, Jurnal Komunikasi: Malaysian Journal of Communication, and other indexed journals. In addition, she co-authored the SCOPUS-indexed book Unfolding the Rise of Corporate Communications: An Asian Perspective (Universiti Putra Malaysia Press, 2024).
