SITRASELVI CHANDREN is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Accountancy, College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She received her PhD in Accounting from Universiti Sains Malaysia. She has obtained her professional qualification, The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in year 2001 and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Utara Malaysia in year 2007. She is a Member of Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA). She has received the Chartered Accountant title in year 2002 from MIA. Prior to joining as academic in Universiti Utara Malaysia, she has gained vast industry experience for more than a decade as an accountant. As an academic, she has taught a variety of courses in accounting at undergraduate levels. Her research interests focus primarily in the field of corporate governance, earnings management and financial accounting.
