I am currently an academician working in the field of numerical methods for ordinary differential equations at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Quantitative Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). I have been teaching several mathematics subjects such as managerial mathematics, calculus, differential equations and mathematical modelling at UUM. Besides teaching, I am attempting to stay active in my research. My researches are focused on unconventional numerical methods for first order initial value problems, such as numerical methods based on rational function, exponential function or trigonometric function. However, I am looking forward to work in other areas which involved computational mathematics, such as fluid mechanics and financial mathematics. To date, I have supervised a few undergraduate students who undergo industrial training and co-supervised a PhD student and a MSc student. Currently, I am receiveing two university research grants, all working in the field of numerical methods for ordinary differential equations.
