Dr. Muhammad Hafiz Badarulzaman is a senior lecturer at School of Law, College of Law, Government and International Studies (COLGIS) and currently is the Head of Shariah and Islamic Business Law Research Unit (SHURA) of School of Law, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B (Hons.)) in 2008 from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Laws, International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM); Bachelor of Shariah Laws (LL.B_S (Hons.)) in 2009 from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Laws, International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM); Master of Laws (LL.M) in 2010 from International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM) and PhD in Law from School of Law, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). His area of specialization is Banking Law with sub specialization in Zakat Law, Shariah Law and Islamic Banking and Finance. His research areas are dominantly in social sciences but focusing more in law, Islamic principles, good governance and management.
