OVERVIEW
Dr. Muhammad Hafiz Badarulzaman is a senior lecturer at School of Law, College of Law, Government and International Studies (COLGIS) and currently is the Program Chair for Bachelor of Philosophy, Law and Business (BPLB) at School of Law (SOL), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). Formerly, he was the Head of Shariah and Islamic Business Law Research Unit (SHURA) under SOL and presently he is the Researcher at SHURA SOL. He also held many administrative positions in the university such as Club Advisors, Practicum Coordinator, Director of Debate, Advocacy and Oratory Unit, Acting Director of Student Excellence and Leadership Center, Research Associate to Legal Justice and Research Centre. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B (Hons.)) in 2008 from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Laws, International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM); Bachelor of Shariah Laws (LL.B_S (Hons.)) in 2009 from Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyah of Laws, International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM); Master of Laws (LL.M) in 2010 from International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM) and PhD in Law from School of Law, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). His area of specialization is Banking Law with sub specialization in Zakat Law, Shariah Law and Islamic Banking and Finance. His research areas are dominantly in social sciences but focusing more in law, Islamic principles, good governance and management.
