OVERVIEW
I am a senior lecturer and researcher in the Department of Decision Sciences at School of Quantitative Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia. I received my Ph.D in Decision Science from University Utara Malaysia in year 2016. My doctoral thesis work on ‘Winsorize tree algorithm for handling outlier in classification problem’ where a new modified classification tree that perform winsorize gini purity index can perfectly resist to outliers without involving any pruning process has been developed. I have been teaching in several subjects such as Data Mining, Elementary Statistics, Research in quantitative sciences, Project paper, Computer Aided in decision Making and etc. Besides teaching, I am attempting to stay active in my research. My main research interest focuses on understanding behaviour in big data with multiple measurements, pattern recognition, operational research, and data mining (mainly in classification and clustering). Currently I am also actively involved in applied research and educational research, especially in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
