OVERVIEW
I possess a robust educational background in statistics and actuarial studies, having earned degrees from esteemed institutions. In 2018, I attained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Statistics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), showcasing my profound knowledge and expertise in statistical methodologies and applications. Furthermore, my academic journey includes a Master's degree in Actuarial Studies from The University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia, obtained in 2011. This international exposure broadened my perspective on actuarial practices, providing a comprehensive understanding within a global context. The foundation of my academic pursuit was laid with a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Malaysia in 2007. This undergraduate program established a solid groundwork for grasping fundamental actuarial concepts and methodologies. Preceding my bachelor's degree, I completed a Diploma in Actuarial Science at UiTM in 2004, serving as a crucial stepping stone and offering foundational knowledge in actuarial principles and mathematical techniques. Overall, my educational trajectory showcases a progressive advancement from a diploma to a Ph.D., emphasizing a focus on statistics and actuarial studies. The amalgamation of experiences from both local and international institutions underscores a diverse and well-rounded approach to the field, contributing to the development of a comprehensive skill set in statistics and actuarial sciences. Moreover, my research endeavors have been supported by a diverse funding portfolio. I have secured grants for five projects, with backing from the Ministry of Education (MOE) for two initiatives, in addition to funding from an external agency, a university, and a self-funded initiative. In essence, these research projects, funded through various channels, collectively contribute valuable insights into wealth management, retirement planning, and financial sustainability in Malaysia.
