I am a senior lecturer in the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management. I completed my doctoral thesis at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia in 2019. My expertise include Cultural Heritage Management and Heritage Studies. My previous doctoral and masters theses investigated intangible and tangible heritage respectively. Among the issues that interest me are Heritage Management in Malaysia; Heritage Interpretation; Heritage and Events; Heritage of the Diaspora; Martial Arts as Heritage and Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguarding. I am also an active practitioner and member of the Pertubuhan Seni Silat Kuntau Tekpi Malaysia, where I serve as a Waris Beradat, Guru Utama Perlis, and Jurulatih Kanan.
