Nor Azlina Mohd Noor is an associate professor at the School of Law, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Hons.), Master of Comparative Laws, and PhD in Law (Administration of Estates Law) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She also holds a Professional Diploma in Translation from the Malaysian Translator Association-Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. She is a Certified Professional Intellectual Property Manager awarded by the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM-CPIPM) and a certified mediator awarded by The Accord Group (an international dispute resolution firm) based in Sydney, Australia. Currently, she is also a Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) accredited trainer. She is actively involved in several trainings relating to wealth management. Her major areas of specialization are law of succession and administration of deceased estates law. Her other research areas include (but are not limited to) wealth planning & management (including hibah, wasiyyah, and faraid), family law, trust law, Islamic family law, Islamic law of succession, information and technology law, and intellectual property law. To date, she is one of the assessors for the Malaysian Qualification Agency in the area of law and Shariah law.
