Syahida Hassan received her PhD in Information System from Victoria University of Wellington. Her academic career started in 2003 when she joined Management and Science University. In 2005, she joined Universiti Utara Malaysia. Her recent research is focusing on the cyber fraud protection model, cyberbullying and social media. She has involved in many collaborative research projects financed by various agencies (Asian Development Bank, National Anti-Drugs Agency, Ministry of Higher Education, Kedah State Economic Planning Unit, Lembaga Zakat Kedah, Global IT Services, Maxis, and the then Ministry of Energy, Water & Communication). She is also a Certified Information Security Awareness Manager
