Associate Professor Dr Yusramizza Md Isa is a law lecturer and currently the Dean of the prestigious School of Law, College of Law, Government and International Studies (COLGIS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She was also the Deputy Legal Adviser for UUM. She graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) (Hons) and obtained a Master of Laws from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Dr. Yusramizza obtained a PhD in Law (Without Correction) from the prestigious Lancaster University in the United Kingdom in 2016, specialising in drug policy and law, as well as relevant criminal justice and public health approaches. She is a qualified advocate and solicitor (non-practicing) and had experience as a practising lawyer at Messrs. Mazlinda, Azlina & Co. and Messrs. Padma & Co. in Alor Setar, Kedah. Her other current research interests include criminal law, criminology, public health law, drug law, and policy. She is also active as the editor of renowned international indexed journals, including SCOPUS journal in many countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Singapore, and India. Additionally, she received a number of awards, including the Anugerah Buku Suntingan Terbaik UUM and the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang. She is also active as committee member/head of bereau of NGOs, including Yayasan Pencegahan Jenayah Malaysia, Skuad Agensi Antidadah Malaysia, and the Malaysian Nature Society.
