OVERVIEW
My career goal changed from being a junior consultant in an ICT consulting firm based in MSC Cyberjaya (2002-2004), to an academician at School of Computing UUM in 2006. My research, consultation and community services cover topics related to ICT applications, e-commerce applications evaluation, bridging digital divide, rural ICT, strategic use of ICT, and data envelopment analysis (DEA) in management. My major publications are published in SCOPUS-indexed journals and proceedings within ICT, Information Systems and DEA in management area. I was a Fellow of International Telecommunication Union (ITU)-UUM Asia Pacific (2007-2013) focusing research on bridging digital divide in rural area of Malaysia. Recently completed projects took me to explore the effects of Covid-19 pandemic on the use of ICT - i). Sustainability of Craft Industry (UNESCO-certified Langkawi Island's ceramic product) (2020-2022); ii).Food Traceability (Food Donation Apps from Local Food Producers to Asnaf in Kedah with the collaboration with Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah and NGO) (2020/2021). My current projects are in the area of Cyber-counselling and Peer Mentoring for University Students (2021/2022), AI-enabled Trust Persona Model for Women Gig Worker (2022-2024), Gamification of MOOC content for ODL (2023-2024) and ICT in Experiential Tourism (2022-2023).
