Dr. Bahtiar Mohamad is the Resident Faculty and Associate Professor of Corporate Communication and Strategy at the Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Kuala Lumpur. Additionally, he holds the titles of Chartered Manager (CMgr) and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI). With nearly 22 years of service at UUM, Dr. Bahtiar has held various administrative positions, including Head of the Communication Department (2005-2008), Practicum Coordinator (2014-2016), Postgraduate Coordinator (2017-2018), Dean for Student Development and Alumni (2019), Head of the Advanced Communication Research Unit (2020), and Director of the MBA Programme (2021-2022). Currently, he serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Sustainable Growth and Urban Development (ISGUD), UUM Kuala Lumpur. Dr. Bahtiar's research interests encompass corporate communication, corporate identity, corporate image, crisis communication, and corporate branding. He has contributed to numerous collaborative research projects funded by various entities, including ERASMUS on Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs), the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (RAGS, FRGS, TRGS), Universitas Sebelas Maret, and Telkom University, Indonesia. Actively involved as an ex-officio, facilitator, and reviewer for several research projects under the Institute for Youth Research Malaysia (IYRES), Ministry of Youth and Sports, his work has been published in prestigious international journals such as the Public Relations Review, Journal of Communication Management, International Journal of Strategic Communication, Corporate Communication: An International Journal, Journal of Islamic Marketing, and Young Consumers. Notably, one of his articles received the Highly Commended Paper Award in the 2019 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence. Dr. Bahtiar serves as an editor in chief and editorial board member of several journals, in addition to acting as a reviewer for numerous scientific journals. He regularly presents his work at international conferences and has been appointed as a Visiting Scholar at various institutions, including the Faculty of Business, Curtin University (2015-2017), the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (2018), the Postgraduate Programme, Universitas Muhammadiyah, Yogjakarta (2021), Mahasarakham University, Thailand (2023), and the Asian Institute of Cambodia (2016). Moreover, he serves as the Academic Advisor for Taylor's University (2022-present), Quest International University (2021-present), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (2018-present), Multimedia University (2020-present), SEGi University (2017-present), Kolej Universiti Poly-Tech MARA (2018-2021), and Kolej Universiti Islam Melaka (2016-present).
