Abd Halim Ahmad is an Associate Professor of Finance and Manager of Business Development and Investment Unit at Universiti Utara Malaysia. He is also appointed as Research Fellow of Institute of Business Research, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. He holds editorial board member for international reputable scientific journals, Asia Pacific Journal of Business Administration (Emerald), International Journal of Economics and Management (UPM), Jurnal Pengurusan (UKM) and International Journal of Banking and Finance (UUM). His research interest has focused in recent years on the financial economics, political connections and corporate failure. He has published his research in many international journals namely, Economics Letters, Finance Research Letters, Global Business Review, Applied Economics Letters, Pacific Accounting Review, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business and Economics Bulletin. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Management and Personal Finance.
