Fazillah Mohmad Kamal is currently a senior lecturer, researcher, and a technologist. A coffee adherent, a traveller and a thrill and challenge seeker, Fazillah has involved in various events, organized student programmes and has conducted multiple trainings for Quantitative Sciences Association (QUSAC). Fazillah has completed her doctoral research at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) focusing on the social-technical aspects of social messaging systems that will inform future design of connecting technology. She received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in January 2021. She also has received a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) degree in Computer Network from the same university she is currently affiliated at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Kedah. Fazillah is also a professional technologist that is recognized by Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) since 2018. MBOT is a professional body that gives Professional Recognition to Technologists and Technicians who are related with their technology and technical fields. She has also served as a faculty member for multiple years in the Decision Science department and has helped School of Quantitative Sciences since then. In 2004, when she became affiliated to UUM as a lecturer, she taught computer programming, database, and application development, and recently she starts teaching data visualization and body language analysis (BLA) including within the digital environment. Fazillah has nearly 20 years of professional experience in higher education and student affairs in a diverse array of functional areas including computing education, academic program developments, academic and non-academic advising, as well as student activities. Formerly serving as a tutor at UUM from 2001 until 2004, Fazillah has extensive experience in the classroom and working in blended student and academic affairs environments. As a researcher, Fazillah has presented and published papers and articles in several prestigious conferences and journals, and taught courses related to her field. Currently, she puts much interest on research that involves with system development embedding quantitative model as parts of the system code including text and social media analytics as well as data visualization and dashboard development.
