Kamarul Faizal Hashim is currently working in the School of Computing at the Universiti Utara Malaysia, Sintok, Kedah Malaysia. He is one of the key researchers in the Public Enterprise Computing Research Group (PEC) and is involved in teaching and research in business and social informatics, system development and information systems. Kamarul holds a PhD degree from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) Business School which is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business(AACSB). He holds a Masters Degree in Information Technology from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology (with Honours) from the Universiti Utara Malaysia. Kamarul’s main research interests are on business information systems, that span several areas including IT adoption and assimilation by businesses and consumers, IT implementation by Small Medium Enterprise and social media implementation by businesses. Kamarul is also interested in other research areas such as knowledge sharing and online learning within higher education institute. Currently, he is the Review Member for Journal of Global Information Management (ISSN: 1062-7375), Journal of Electronic Commerce (ISSN: 15266133) and International Journal of Computer and Information Technology (IJCIT)) (ISSN: 2779-0764). He is also a Review Member for top IS conferences such as The European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), Hawaiian International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), and Informing Science and IT Education Conference (InSITE). Moreover, he is a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS).
