OVERVIEW
Adura Ahmad is an accounting lecturer in Tunku Intan Syafinaz School of Accountancy (TISSA), Universiti Utara Malaysia. She holds a PhD in social and environmental accounting from University of Essex. She is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), a fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), associate member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE) and lifetime member of Qualitative Research Association of Malaysia (QRAM). Adura’s research focus is mainly on the issues related to the edge of business, society and the natural environment; how business has its impact on society and the environment. Her underlying research interest is in social and environmental issues and critical aspects of organisations and work, focuses on the constructions of sustainable development and issue in sustainability within the corporate context and its effects, and on the role of accounting and accountability practices in achieving well-being society and sustainable nation; emphasizing in making the social and ecological impacts of organizational activities more transparent among all stakeholders. Adura uses a range of innovative methodologies including narrative, storytelling, visual and theory-related lenses.
