I am an Associate Professor in the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management, Universiti Utara Malaysia. I obtained my first degree in Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors (majoring in Tourism) from UUM itself. Later, I received my Master in International Tourism and Hospitality Management from Griffith University (Gold Coast campus, Australia) while my PhD was awarded by University of Surrey, United Kingdom (Hospitality Management). My research interest is in the areas of services management in general, with specialisation in Muslim friendly hospitality services, Islamic tourism, and service failure and recovery. Other areas of interest include hospitality management, shariah compliant hotel operation, experience management, quality management, service operations management, services marketing, food and beverage cost control, consumer behaviour in food and beverage and hospitality education and training. I have published in various publications in internationally, peer-reviewed journals while also had presented in numerous international conferences. At the moment, I also supervise postgraduate students.
