Dr. Shamshuritawati Sharif is a Senior Lecturer at School of Quantitative Sciences, UUM-College of Arts and Science, Universiti Utara Malaysia, Kedah, MALAYSIA since June 2000. She completed her Doctorate in Mathematics from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor in April 2013. Her Master degrees in Decision Science were from Universiti Utara Malaysia, Kedah in 2003. Her Bachelor of Science with Honors in Statistics and her Diploma in Statistics were obtained from MARA Institute of Technology (UiTM), Shah Alam, Selangor, in 1998 and 2000, respectively. Her latest Doctorate program focuses on creating new statistical test for testing the stability of correlation matrix, and network analysis. She has research interests which include centrality measure, industrial statistics, inferential statistics, multivariate statistics, and network analysis.
Over 15 years teaching, research and publication experiences, she has received 7 research grants, Excellence Service Award in 2004, and Best Consultation Award in 2013. Until today, she has published 13 papers in journals, 21 conference proceedings, and 2 Bronze Medal award via research exhibitions. One of her papers was recognized with the best paper award titles at AICEBM2005. In recognition of her expertise, she was invited as an article reviewer for several journals and conference articles. Presently, she has been invited as speaker for statistical analysis workshops organized by SQS Statistical Consulting, UiTM Shah Alam, UiTM Johor, University College Agro Science Melaka (UCAM), Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Kedah, and MPWS Rich Resources. She is also a member of ISM, PERSAMA and IEEE Society.
