Professor Dr. Nuarrual Hilal Md. Dahlan is a respected law lecturer at the esteemed School of Law, College of Law, Government, and International Studies (COLGIS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). He holds multiple degrees from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), including a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), a Bachelor of Shariah Law (LL.B.(S)), and a Master of Laws from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
As a qualified legal practitioner, Professor Dr. Nuarrual Hilal is a member of the Malaysian Bar (Bar Council), a registered Peguam Syarie in Penang, and an Associate Member of the Malaysian and London Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS). His academic journey culminated with a PhD in Law from the renowned Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL), IIUM, where he specialised in the legal aspects of abandoned housing projects in Peninsular Malaysia.
His research expertise extends beyond housing law to encompass land law, planning law, building law, insolvency law, Islamic contract law, and Islamic banking law, particularly concerning housing development transactions. His scholarly contributions have earned him recognition through prestigious awards such as the **Anugerah Karya Kencana (DBP)** and **Anugerah Artikel Terbaik (MAPIM)**. His research has been published in reputable local and international journals, including those indexed in SCOPUS.
Professor Dr. Nuarrual Hilal has held various leadership roles within academia, including serving as Director of the Institute for Governance and Innovation Studies (IGIS) at COLGIS, UUM. He also led the UUM Academic Staff Association (PERSATU) as President and held the positions of Vice President 1, III, and Deputy President of the Malaysian Academic Association Congress (MAAC).
