OVERVIEW
DR. NOR ZALINA MOHAMAD YUSOF, CA(M), CPA(Aust), is a senior lecturer at Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy, Universiti Utara Malaysia (TISSA-UUM). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Wales College of Cardiff (now known as Cardiff University), United Kingdom, in 1996; and later in 2002, her master’s degree in Commerce with Professional Accounting concentration from University of Queensland, Australia. In 2012, she successfully defended her PhD with a dissertation on “Bumiputera Institution and the Development of Corporate Governance in Malaysia” at Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Before switching to academia in the year 2000, she has worked as an auditor in one audit firm in Alor Setar. Her current research interests include corporate governance, forensic accounting, and accounting education – employing qualitative research method and critical perspective. In recent years, she has been teaching Forensic Accounting and Company Secretarial Practices for undergraduate students; as well as Seminar in Corporate Governance and Qualitative Research Method for postgraduate students. Dr. Nor Zalina is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and CPA Australia.
